Shave it to Save it

Shave it to Save it

#WillYouShave

This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette

Well groomed male is desire of every woman out there. We men are quite lazy and don't care for grooming until we have a date or meeting with boss. We won't budge from our seat if not needed :P .

when it comes to grooming most noticeable visual trait in males is face. Unshaven or ungroomed face is strict no no .
When you have a date and you slept full time dreaming about it forgetting to groom yourself .Just take out that shaving kit and make wonders.

I have some personal experiences . I am hell of a lazy person and take last minute decisions for some event or date.
I remember  being complemented for clean shave then sometimes for that well groomed soul patch on my chin :) .

This are my personal observations:

1. If you have french cut : you are age group looks like 30-32+ .It's professional if you don't have problem in looking 30-32+ .
2. If you have plain beard . Well it suits fair men more. It adds five years to your age. Some ladies will love it but girls wont .
3. If you have Goatee , you are you look artistic or thoughtful .
4. If you have goatee and mustache  it shows smartness.
5. If you have mustache and beard . you look very royal or purely beggar . Well Royal can afford to keep it and maintain ,and beggar because he can't afford to maintain it or shave it.
6. A soul patch show joyful and flirty nature .

As we see if you keep mustache or beard people can interpret it in  many ways.
Best possible solution for this, Clean shave, It's neutral ,elegant and cool.  Clean shave shows that you can expect neat tidy work from the person .

So  guys if you want to save your day and cant come up with something good . Just keep and it clean and tidy .
Shave it to save it .

Miss you dad

Miss you dad

I miss you dad,
miss you very much ,
the laugh we had together,
and your praising touch ,
The moments of joy,
the days if fun ,
winters of chilling mist,
& summer of shining sun

Those busy market streets,
just look empty without you ,
those sweet chocolates taste sour,
'coz i didn't get it from you .

i miss doing mischievous things ,
that mom would punish me for,
you would come between us ,
and save me from her.

 I miss walking with you,
to walk with your pace,
i always had ti run although,
to win that home bound race.

i miss your encouraging words,
and inspiring teachings that you taught,
things that  i should do ,
and things i should not,

I miss the fear of you,
to do anything wrong,
i miss your anger,
and beating strong.

I miss your tight hug,
that would take away all my tears,
i miss that sense of security,
that would keep me away from my fears,

Each and everyday ,
when the sun is settling down ,
I wait for you at the doorstep ,
may be you will return from town.

how do i explain to my heart,
that you've gone forever,
far very far away from me,
and you will return never.

I believe

videohive.net

I believe

I believe ,
that day would come ,
she would stand next to me ,
and we would walk alone

Silently she would walk ,
i won't know what to talk ,
she would slow her pace down ,
and we would walk to the town .
galleryhip.com
Then  would sing a song ,
and she would hmm along..
Just this way we would walk ,
without a single talk ,

On the way ,
I would buy her a rose,
accepting with a smile ,
she would keep it very close,
instead of red ,
it would be white,
as pure as her ,
with her smile so bright.

Taking a deep breath ,
then i would say ,
I love from my heart,
will do it till my death ,
then she would feel shy ,
for the reason i know why.
Looking in my eye,
suddenly she would cry,
but i know she is happy ,
and they were tears of joy ,
Later she would smile ,
and embrace me for a while ,

Close together ,
then we would walk again ,
on her way back home ,
it would start to rain,
she would get soaked ,
and i would also drain,
walking like this ..
we would reach her home..
I believe i believe ,
that day would come .

#AbMontuBolega is social initiative by Stepsils India towards Swach Bharat Campaign. Be part of it Voice your opinion on twitter and facebook : ) . I do my bit you do yours.

I love to travel . I have traveled to many parts of India . The journey had one thing in common . Railways. I have been to Guwahati, Jammu ,Hyderabad,Surat,Sri Ganganagar,Bareilly ,Lucknow , Delhi, Bhopal and many more..
Railways had one thing in common . NO DUSTBIN in moving train .

Now all of us foodies we like to eat chana garam ,bhel, tea, coffee , bananas,samosa,chole-puri and what not. India railways facilitates all these. Yumm isn't it. But then what about the leftovers, garbage ,peels ,wrappers & Tea cups !? . They find there way out from window,
Now taking statistically :
India railways expand over : It is one of the world's largest railway networks comprising 115,000 km (71,000 mi) of track over a route of 65,436 km (40,660 mi) and 7,172 stations.[4] In 2013–14, IR carried 8,425 million passengers annually or more than 23 million passengers daily (roughly half of which were suburban passengers) Ref: wikipedia
"So on average if every passenger is responsible for 1 wrapper/plastic bag : Everyday Indian railways produce : 23000000 wrappers/plastic bags/water bottles/plastic or foam cups  etc.
This garbage is spread over 115,000 km railway line ."
I love Indian Railways  but i feel very bad when it turns out to garbage machine like this.

I have only simple recommendation to Indian Railways.

1.Please keep temporary Dustbins in Moving train and ensure they are emptied at every station .
2.I wouldn't mind paying a fine if found littering on stations . Enforce this rule and Indian railways can reduce it's garbage footprint .
3. I request passengers not throw wrappers out of window, keep it in polythene bag/paper bag and take effort to put it in dustbin .
4. Have Surprise gifts for Good Citizens/ Safai-cleaning Workers. Encourage them to dump waste in dustbin instead of railway tracks.
5. We as individuals.
Please point out to anyone who litters the direction to closest dustbin .  Ungli dikhao campaign .

Why to point out only India Railways. :

India Roadways is also major contributor.

"India has a road network of over 4,689,842 kilometres (2,914,133 mi) in 2013,[1][2] the second largest road network in the world. At 0.66 km of roads per square kilometre of land, Ref: wikipedia"

Do i need to explain more. !!???

This is not a Blame Game.  Indian Railways and Roadways is public entity , it's your tax money . It's by you ,for you  keep it clean.
I do my bit ,you do yours.

Your's  Montu ;)

Sounds that disturb me,

And the sound of waves makes me soundless.
I can't search for soundlessness.
Only sound will take me there."

Diwali is most awaited festival  by me .
I love the essence of sweets being made at home .Sankarpada,shev,laddooo00OOO ..

I help my mom in frying the sweets and making Chakali .Most of it finished while making :P .
I like light crackers not sound . So i get few flowerpots ,Sursuri,Rockets, . Just love when they light up .
I have stopped lighting cracker long way back but i get some that bring light into our lives and brighten it.

I like mud diyas ,not candle, I like the purity of mud diyas, oil and cotton wick. It's pleasant feeling to observe it lightening up .Let there be a dark room and place a diya , the soothing feel  ,the calmness ,the inspiration a diya can give cannot be compared.
Odor of oil burning is also very pleasant . The yellow glow of diya. WoW.

Then  i like rockets , love them when they go up in sky and spread the pleasant colors . The design they make ,creates a lasting impression on our mind . And admit it all love it.
The rocket goess.. suiiiiiiiii...thakk..just love it. :)

Then flowerpots are my favorite, When they light up it's awesome. White light ,color lights, golden sparkles  just wow.

Manual of the Warrior of Light

Manual of the Warrior of Light

-Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho is well known writer, I really love the theme of his books. It has certain essence to it,little bit mysticism ,spiritualism, knowledge and story. His writing style is as such that it hooks and mesmerizes the reader. You would want to believe his words ,stories even if they are fictitious. You can relate the stories to your lives and always find it useful in some way or the other.

This book is Collection of inspiring short passages .There are small phrases that are self explainable and along with description make it more meaningful .
"A warrior of light knows that he has much to be grateful for."
" 'Thy will be done .' This is how warrior of light prays"
"The warrior of light recognizes the silence that precedes an important battle."

The book is full of such inspiring phrases Or instruction or guidelines. You chose what you want to call them .
The book is a Manual of the Warrior of the light . Who is warrior of light !?
The answer is in the book

When you finish the book you will be able to identify the warrior if light.  I did :)

This is not a novel nor a story,it's collection of short passages. You wont find any chapters or story-line
. It's just ...

Enjoy the book . I recommend it for everyone age no bar, : )
You will love it .

Happy reading. :)

Man's Search For Meaning

Man's Search For Meaning

-Viktor E. Frankel

"He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how"
Well here's a book that you find rarely in hands of readers. Why!! well it's not a novel ,it's not fun story. It's a account of author life story . It's the story of his struggle in Nazi concentration camps.
The struggle to live in most harsh situations ,living through the atrocities by Nazi soldiers and lot more.
It may sound like this book is saddening  but it is meant to describe that how a man can still have that hope to live when people suicide to prevent their souls and suffering.
We all are aware of Nazi camps stories , this is the person who lived and went through all these sufferings.
After the account of his Nazi camps the author has written about his life after Nazi camps .

Let me shed some light on story
The author is narrating his story and events throughout the book. He describes his life before ,during and after Nazi camps .
There are three chapters/sections of book
1. Experiences in Concentration Camp &
2. Logotherapy in nutshell
3. The case of Tragic Optimism .

Every section will teach you a lot. It's not study but is life study. You never know you may find your life-meaning too.

The great task for a person  is to find meaning in his or her life. Frankel( Author) saw three possible sources :
  • Work( doing something significant),
  • in love (caring for another person) &
  • in courage in difficult times.
Logotherapy : it is a meaning centered psychotherapy . More description i given in book .

Now don't be judgmental  this book .This book how people survived and how they sustained their will . So at least next time when you try to find meaning for your life or say that there's nothing left. You can always find a reason to live.

Reading Advice : Only for People who are searching for meaning in their life,It's not novel and may seem boring for fun lovers .This is serious account of a Nazi Concentration Camp survivor.
Discretion advised .

Very good Read :) .

Outliers

Outliers

The story of success

-Malcolm Gladwell

I got liking of writing of Malcolm Gladwell after reading "Blink" ,then I read the "Tipping point "and now  "Outliers" .
This book is very inspiring book.Author  has showcased many examples of successful persons, companies and then tried to identify factors behind their success.
He gave very good examples why kids born in January are more successful in their chosen careers.
And there is simple explanation , they are always months ahead than there peers in academic years.
Most of the tournaments organized are schedules according to academic years. So sports, academics, arts anything January born kids have that extra months, time to themselves and they are that many months mature.
It may sound very uncanny but if we think with cool mind .It may click us too.
Then there are stories of businesses why some business thrived while others doomed. author has identified those points.
He has highlighted the power of 10,000 hour rule. Simple means if a person dedicates a minimum 10,000 hours in particular work, games or study he is expert or better than any other .
For some the geographic location was right and for some the years were right. Geographic location we all know ,if raw material and selling market is near the producer is destined to succeed and regarding time, when the financial crisis hit some countries had huge losses but some countries profited.
Things like this are contributing factors to all the successful companies, people
He has identified silicon valley's most successful people and reasons behind their success.
Bill Gates,Steve Jobs,Paul Allen,Steve Ballmer etc .. They are well known figures and everybody wants to know about their success.
Read the book to know their secret from perspective of Malcolm Gladwell .Beleive me it's good analysis .You will love it.

Steve Jobs -Walter Isaacson

Steve Jobs

"Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson" by iTunes — Books — Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Licensed under Fair use of copyrighted material in the context of Steve Jobs (biography) via Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Steve_Jobs_by_Walter_Isaacson.jpg#mediaviewer/File:Steve_Jobs_by_Walter_Isaacson.jpg -Walter Isaacson

This book is autobiography of Steve Jobs written by Walter Isaacson .
Steve Jobs ,the name is enough to identify this highly motivated techie guy. He is god of marketing and has build one of the largest brands "Apple Inc." ,"Pixar" and "NeXT Inc. " .
Walter Isaacson is famous autobiographer with who has written for Albert Einstein,Benjamin Franklin and Steve Jobs :) .

The book "Steve Jobs" is awesome portrayal of Steve Jobs personality  . This book claims to be written without influence or control by Steve Jobs .I specified this point because Steve Jobs was believed to be very sensitive and cautious about his image, brand.

The book starts with information regarding his birth, adoption and parents. It is said that his childhood has major role in building his persona. His attitude, style, living is outcome of his childhood. What i deduce from his childhood ,he was living in  Silicon valley where technology was evolving everyday .Lot of contributing factors like condition of his adoption " that child should be given to only college graduates" added to education etc. This all information beautifully written in the initial chapter of book .
Next chapters cover his friendship with Steve Wozniak ,their pranks ,schooling and college . It's fun to read the mischievous side of Steve . The stories of "Homebrew computer club" ,conventions etc. The initial circuit board  works of Steve and Woz . It gives a great inspiration to people who want to start their own company. It shows everything starts from small steps and then we take leaps.
Then the next chapter covers his college life and issues . Love life/relationship in college and the use of recreational-drugs etc . Steve has admitted the use of recreational drugs ,marijuana  LSD in his young days and says it was an important factor in his life . It helped him to stay relaxed and creative .Readers Please don't get inspired for this,it worked for Steve may not work for you .
Then next chapter cover his ZEN theological beliefs  ,visit to India and inspiration from Buddhism. He loved India and says his visit to India has had great effect on his life and ideology. He ate very less, vegan diets, simplistic life, ideals and life practices.
Next chapter cove his life ,business and innovations. His acquisitions and sell outs, marketing plans . His marketing and innovation strategies. His enthusiasm to make best products ,simple yet elegant. Author has covered phase by phase innovation of Apple 1,Apple 2,NeXT, Pixar ,iPod,iPhone and iPad . How and why they were built .The teams involved . The bouts and shouts .

I don't want to summarize the book ,go grab one and read .This was just to make you intrigued.  I highly recommend it.The flow of the book is awesome.

I loved the book but at some points i did feel that author went partial towards Steve .Even if it so,it's Steve Jobs book it will always be :)  .

As reader i am very inspired by author,Walter Isaacson ,he has covered great deal of Steve Job's life ,anyone who reads the book will be inspired to be Steve and yes lot of things to learn from him.
I am truly inspired.

My recommendation is , Go grab a copy of the book of the book .
It's for all techies, students, marketing and sales guys, avid reader and professional. This is not boring autobiography but interesting story of greatest innovator of 20th century.

Enjoy Reading :)

Connecting hearts across the borders #JodeyDilonKo @IndiBlogger

" सरहदें तो ज़मींन के बटवारे के लिए होती है,

दिलो के गुलिस्तां में सरहदो का क्या वास्ता "

My experience with Pakistan television
I have  lived in two parts of country closer to Pak border .
Akhnoor (J&K) year 1998 to 2001,Sriganganagar(Rajasthan) 2002-2005 .The boundaries were within 50 km at max . The television frequencies would be caught by our antennae.
I have seen PTV  and Doordarshan .  I have seen some television serials though i don't remember any , well i didn't have cable network so didn't have much choice . I just watched for timepass and somewhat loved that accent, language. I saw news of both sides ,interesting was to view news of India on PTV and news of Pakistan on Doordarshan .I Don't like to make any political comments but both were biased. Ultimately people end up creating their opinion on these biased news . This was my experience with Television on Pakistan and India .

I loved the efforts of Zee Network and Zindagi to mend this gap because as kid i didn't distinguish ,i just watched tv . Today atleast i have choice .
I am not much of serial guy but would like to try a few ,just for the shear fun . If i can watch telugu movies, tamil movies ,indonesian ,chinese , why not pakistani .

 Concept

I wasn't sure what to expect in the meet but it turned out wonderfull .
I loved the concept . Good approach to change thinking of people .Good way to blend in .
We love the music of Rahat Fateh Ali khan , Atif Aslam,Ali Zafar,Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan,Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan,Ghulam ali ,Adnan Sami ( I googled this list ,Surprised to see Names 20+).  I carry their music in mobile ,share it ,like it for the quality of their music, talent that's the beauty of it :) .
I expect same from Zindagi ,to blend in our hearts the actors ,acting ,stories .
Don't promote Zindagi as pakistani television just let it blend . Soon the names will be common .People will google them ,their bio, wiki pages and they will be part of us. They will appreciate the actors and serials for their acting .

I loved the effort ,i loved the concept .

Experience at

I love indiblogger meets ,It's fun :) .
Good concept
Loved the effort of zindagi .

Delicious food
Just yummm .. Lunch was delicious ,
My favorite was sweets, ate 3 plates Cream caramel ,3plates Ras malai and 2 plates jalebi . Well i would  have tried more but seems I was full . Burrrrpppppppp . ;-)

Good Venue arrangemen
Venue arrangement was very good ,the Leela hotel ,indiblogger has got bigger :) . Round tables ,drinking arrangements,I saw many scribbling on notepads, Live video streaming ,chat with Delhi and Pakistan .Fun part was Delhi Vs Mumbai . Yo ! Delhites you cant beat Amchi Mumbai .

Love kills

Love kills

-ismita Tandon

Got this book from Harper Collins Publishers for review . :)

Love kills book cover
This book is social/suspense/crime-friction novel . Why so many genre!? Well it was hard to decide. i love the plot ,the description style ,the events occurred ,issues mentioned for social cause and how families compromise to be together.
There are lot of emotions in this novel romance, hatred, jealousy ,anger ,obsession, guilt and  lot more..

Novel has touched some very important issues and highlighted them in such light that one could actually relate to many of them .Alcoholics family issues, compromises, events are described very well ,the betrayal in love relationships ,unquestioned love, trust and lot more..
I really wont like to give away the plot. The story should unfold as you read it else you wont follow the theme of the book .
There is bit of family melodrama in book but then it always is and it's important to book .
Characters taken are very strong :
Johnny :- main character ,a psychiatrist ,highly talented ,High IQ ,working for social cause, philanthropist guy . Story revolves around this man .
Then there are Mira ,Sera,Adele,Officer Ray,Zac,General,Lady Baines,Azaan ,Mr.Kermani . Sometimes name intrigue you to read ;-) .

Best part in novel,I love how poetry is integrated in the book.

'If love could be bought ,
The queue would be long '

Here goes one character ,but its worth it.Poetic narration of an Alcoholic, the General. The Journal of an alcoholic with poems, his guilt, his shame ,pride .
If you like reading poems you will love them.

' The hands that tremble in desolation,
The eyes that mirror desperation,
Belong to me ,
Yet i am stranger to them....'

Another comes from Officer Ray..

' I lie,I lie very often,
Sometimes i don't even remember,
At times I don't wish to ,
Still,I like my memories Clean,
They may not be worth a dime,
But they are all I have,
the ashes in the urn ,
To hold tight,on a dark,lonely night .'

The novel has suspense, mystery, crime, romance, social cause. In writing style use of poems,diary-journal entries ,letters is very good . Loved the writing style.

This novel has really touched me . I recommend it to all . There is something in it for everyone.
Happy reading :)

Writing poems

#"Have you ever written poetry? What was your first poem called? Do you believe that poetry is really a 'spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings'? "
#For Indivine

Yes I have written poetry . My poem are on my blog .. http://pavanspoems.blogspot.in
My first poem was "Ekach bhet (एकच भेट )" . It's marathi poem .

"पावसा आधी चालणारी
   तेज वायु सारखी चंचळ,
    झर- झर पावसा सारखी
      खिड-खिडून हसणारी .... "

Visit my blog for full collections ..

Poetry is such a medium that a person can write his feeling in the same way that he feels. The efforts that person puts into poem decide how much he/she cares for that topic. Word by word they become a phrase then stanza and then poem .
When i wrote this poem .It was meant for a special person. We had only one meeting and it turns out it imprinted on my heart. I was on roof .There were dark clouds in sky and it started to rain .
The mood was set and words started to flow. Finger were typing on mobile word by word ,line by line.
And poem was thus composed.
First thing i did was to call the person and recite . It had come from heart and is closest to my heart eversince.
The poem was a reply to the her when she had asked to describe her. Well here it was..
I was missing her . The emotion was string enough to make a poem ,and it means a lot.

Poetry is very powerful form of writing . Just we need is those beautifully written lines that touch heart.

In the long night

In the long night

When the nights are long
    and friends are few,
i sit by my window
     thinking of you,
a silent whisper
    and a silent tear
and a wish from my heart,
only if you would be here..
sitting beside ,
    listening to my heartbeat ,
where you reside.

    Talking to each other ,
we would walk
    when you are tired
we would sit in the park.
Looking at the twinkling sky,
a wishing star would pass,
i listen to your wish,
and mine you would ask,
I would say"I wish you,
if i lie cross my heart through",
you shall stare at me for a while,
then lowering the eyes,
 you would smile.

It's too late,.
 then you would say,
sit for some more time ,
 i would pray.
Ready to go you would stand,
sit a bit more ,
i would say holding your hand,
after a while,
we would walk to your home,
your dog would bark at me ,
seeing a person unknown.
Sshh.. you would do ,]
and silent it would lay,
you would enter your house,
and i would walk on my way.

How nice it would be ,
if you were here,
these sleepless nights ,
i can no more bear,
lying on my bed
i close my eyes,
but yet can't sleep after so many tries ,.
in the long night,
i wish you were  here,
smiling for me which is very rare.....
